National Palace Museum

The National Palace Museum was established following the historical conflict between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, which led to the relocation of imperial artifacts to Taiwan. Its collection represents thousands of years of Chinese cultural heritage, and the museum is dedicated to preserving and presenting these treasures. Most artifacts originated from the Preparatory Department of the National Central Museum and are primarily Qing court collections from the Palace Museum, the Jehol summer resort, and the Shenyang Imperial Palace.
